Photography
I have a vivid memory of taking my dad’s old Yashica 35mm camera, setting up my dolls, and photographing them in all kinds of scenes. When he developed the roll—thinking it was full of meaningful, memory-making moments, he was pretty disappointed to find a bunch of blurry close-ups of dolls posed dramatically in our garden.
From that moment on, the joy of taking photos never left me. Over the years, I’ve collected more and more film cameras, from 35mm to 120, polaroids - I even have a Super 8 in my artillery. These more analog tools have pushed me to explore the digital space with a different perspective. Learning on film has sharpened my “in-camera” instincts, which means I don’t rely much on editing after the fact. I thrive in the organic moment and let whatever’s in front of me, take form.
